Your Story Matters
Everything that happened in your and your child's life could have had an impact on their health and wellbeing.
Where you come from, where you live, your cultural background, your family traditions and your beliefs - all this can help to understand the underlying causes of their health problems and to tailor the therapeutic plan to their unique needs.
When you share your story, it helps me to understand your child's journey
I'm here to listen and give you plenty of time to share your story
As an individual in their own right, your child's unique perspective can provide an invaluable insight on how best to help them.
I will take them seriously, respect and appreciate their voice, and strive to understand them in their distinctiveness.

The Therapeutic Approach
To find the best way to address their health concerns, I use scientific methods based on the functional medicine model to identify the imbalances in the body systems, its root causes & contributing factors. Then I use these findings to create a safe and effective therapeutic action plan, uniquely suited to your child’s needs. This may include 5R's approach often used in addressing Gut Health (Remove, Replace, Reinoculate, Repair and Rebalance). When creating the action plan we would rely on SMART goals framework (Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Realistic & Timely) to make sure it is exactly what you and your child can benefit from at this time in your lives.
The therapeutic space I provide gives us an opportunity to work together to help your child.
If you decide to proceed with booking the consultation after your free 30 minutes session, I will send you two questionnaires
Fill in the questionnaires
Complete a 3-day food diary
Send both back 1 week before the primary consultation
I do research & an analysis, then compile my findings and create a provisional therapeutic plan
I present my research & we agree on the plan during the primary consultation
After the consultation I do further research if needed, finalise the plan & send my report & recommendations to you
During the following weeks I offer my support while you work on implementing the plan we agreed on
We repeat the process with follow up consultations to check the progress & amend the plan if necessary
We incorporate weekly check-in sessions via email or online face to face to further support you and your child

About
My journey into nutrition began when my child was five years old. By that time, my husband and I were already aware that our child was different, so we had strategies in place to accommodate and meet their special needs. However, these seemed insufficient in the face of the new challenges. Suddenly, our child stopped using words to communicate. They found most food textures unpalatable, so getting them to eat was a struggle. They were unable to wear clothes as these would hurt their hypersensitive skin. If we managed to go out, they would meltdown in public places as the noise and light levels were too overwhelming for them. They would become very agitated or fearful when in a group setting, so we had to reduce or sometimes avoid attending social gatherings. Also, they frequently seemed to be in a physical pain that couldn't be explained.
All this was heart-breaking, so I became single-minded in the pursuit to understand what was happening to my child and find ways to help them.
I threw myself into research. Pouring over books, articles, scientific papers, I discovered the whole new world of evidence based nutritional science. One of the first things I realized was how some of the foods my child liked to eat were in fact making them sick.
In time, I was able to find an approach that was specifically suited to my child's needs. Within months of implementing it, they were again happy, full of energy, curious, talking and making friends. Once their suffering was lifted, their beautiful, neurodiverse self flourished.
This personal success prompted me to find out how to help others in similar circumstances, which eventually led me to study nutrition and gain professional qualification in the field.
There have been many other challenges over the years and it is not over yet. However, today my child is an accomplished, compassionate young adult, with many interests, a group of close friends and a bright future. Their neurodiversity makes them a uniquely resourceful and creative individual – an extraordinary gift for our modern world.
